Harvest Feast - Lyndhaven - 26 Sep 2009

I wanted to announce some new details for Lyndhaven's Harvest Feast to take place Saturday, September 26th at the Lindsay Valley Lodge at CFB Gagetown (Oromocto, NB).

The hall will open at 10 am on Saturday and close before midnight. The shire's annual rattan tourney and fencing tourney will take place outside the lodge on the lawns. In the event of rain, there will be an indoor location for fighting at the J7 drill hall. More details about the tournaments will be forthcoming from Lord Barnabus, the tourneys' organizer.

There will be a table or two for an arts & sciences display. This will NOT be a competition: just an opportunity to show others on what you are working. Lady Mariota of Kildare will be organizing the display.

There will be NO dayboard, so please plan accordingly. However, there will be a potluck feast starting at around 5 pm at the lodge. We will have a "planned potluck", with the dishes being in the general categories of "soup", "salad", "vegetables", "meat", and "dessert". The planning site is located at http://www.eastkingdom.info/lyndhaven/harvest_feast

There is no site fee, but there will be a $2 feast fee to pay for breads, butters, and beverages! Babes in arms are free, and children 13 and younger pay only $1. Since there is no site fee, there will not be an NMS. The event site is dry (no alcohol).

Candles must be in a non-combustible base, i.e. no wooden candle holders. Also, no decorations (banners, etc.) are to be hung from electrical fixtures.

After the feast, we will be enjoying some music and dancing! Lord Terren of Tir and Lady Washa of Tir will be playing music for several of our dances. If you would like to help entertain, please let us know!

This is a dry site.

No pets, with the exception of service animals.
