An event "postmortem"
Lord Conogan teaches about what happens when those critters on your shields are left to their own devices. This class will discuss the basics of the animals and their poses.
In this society, you're allowed to shout indoors! The voice herald is the "town crier" of the SCA. Lord Conogan will show you how to do it! (This class will be held outdoors! If the weather is poor, bring a cloak.)
Join Pia on the dance floor and learn some of our favourite dances!
Learn with Lady Mariota as she takes you on a learning adventure! (The class title says it all!)
Join Lord Hew of Kilraag in a discussion of the Trebuchet. Topics will include:
It's aimed at (so to speak) older teens and adults because of the math involved. I will be bringing a few small models - a tabletop "grape class" model, one or two outdoor "tennis ball class" trebs, and a laboratory model that will permit experiments with different premeasured masses and lengths. Oh, and a "grape class" onager too, just for fun.
Join Siobhan Sutherland in an overview of drawing - draughtmanship - in the middle ages, how the natural world was represented graphically. This may also turn out to be a class on drawing skllls, drawing realistically. We would use no more than pencil and paper but I'm willing to cover other media as well.
